Regenerative medicine is an evolving research field, which employs stem cell therapy and engineering techniques to treat diseases that currently have limited or no treatment options. Regenerative medicine deals with the regrowth, repair and replacement of diseased cells, tissues, and organs in order to restore normal physiological function. This is a multidisciplinary research field which combines developmental biology, materials science, cell biology, engineering and medical knowledge for treatment of various diseases and disorders.
